Announced last night......Shawnee will open on the 28th. I watched them making snow there.
Good news for all the NJ people who come over to ski just over the border.
Looks like the Pocono's will get an early start this year.

I was just checking out all the reports. Snow making is in full force. Looks like most places will be opening early this year. I love to snow tube too! It's so much fun. I see they have a family tube now, I'd love to try that!
Hey Summering,
I thought you go south for the winter?

Yeahhhhhh..........I dooooooooooooo.......
But I love the mountains full of snow. One of my daughters was a fantastic skiier. I sent them all off for skiing lessons, but one almost went off the cliff so she won't ski anymore. One cried all the way down a high mountain, she shouldn't of been on.
I've spent a ton of time in lodges. Even Mt Rainer Lodge in Washington, and Mt Hoot in Oregon. I'm a Lodger
I like snow for Christmas time........then yep.......I head for the sun.
So right now its ok. I'm waiting for it. Let it Snow~~~ Let it Snow~~~ Let it Snow~~~

I have to agree with you. I like snow for Christmas, after the 1st of the year, I've had enough. It's time to start warming up. You got the right idea. Hopefully, once the kids are out of school, we can do the same thing. For now, enjoy the snow!

I will be down for two weeks at most. It's just a meniscus tear. There will be no strength or stability lost. I ski already in pain so no biggie there. We have been skiing for about two weeks here already.

See my thread in the NEPA on free skiing tonight.........with a donation towards a homeless charity.
Big Boulder and Camelback are having an event you can't miss, locals! ( or non-local for that matter)
