Default Summerings New York at Christmas Time

The City....can be beautiful in the rain too. Although I didn't drag out the camera as much as I should have. I do have some city pictures of the festive New York ...in this winter Christmas season. Just for YOU! ( Nov '08)

BRYANT PARK

Even Skating in the rain, with that backdrop can be fun!

The little glass shops.........such a joy to visit. Right there in Bryant Park.

The rain made for a chilly, but still beautiful day...

Off to Grand Central Station and the Holiday Fair

The festive city ready for the holidays

My reason for the visit this year. " White Christmas" ......Wow, what a show...it was wonderful. Snow, singing, dancing.....

We ate at Juniors. I loved how nice and relaxed it was there. The waiters are so friendly. I smiled at how efficient they were, and one even nudged me at how quickly they did a table up next to me.....when he saw me giggle. Such a "happy" New York group.
I was there when it was Ma Bells, and nary a soul was so happy.........
That a manager is teaching its crew to be so happy-go-lucky is great. It makes the time spent there so more enjoyable.

As beautiful as New York can be, especially during winter, nothing beats wintertime in the country. The white snow on the ground, Cardinals flying around, deer making an ocassional visit around the yard, and the snow hanging off the branches of the trees just makes living out here (at least where I am) just so worth it!!

Nice Pictures. Made me miss my family that still live there, not the city but my family. Christmas at my family house was amazing. imagine about 30 close relatives in a 2 bedroom nyc apartment. I have some great memories.
