WOW, absolutely beautiful trees. Did you purchase the tree with the glove? Just curious as to the prices of the trees. We passed Ritters today and all their trees are 30 bucks. We didnt go in but they looked beautiful from the road. We are thinking of buying one. Can you tell me more info about the farm?
thank,
roxy

YES, the tree with the glove, we purchased! The trees are about $5.75 per foot........
So at that, a 6 foot tree would be $34-. We added a smaller tree for a table and a tree bag for the big tree. I can't get the largest, or the widest. I have electric heat and it is on many of the main walls.
Right smack under my picture window in the front also. So I have an area in the family room that we use. To get through the archway I can't have anything too, too, wide. This is the best tree farm I have been to. You can't choose one tree from the other.......all are good. They go out and chop it down for you and bring it back. They then shake it, wrap it in string, and help get it onto your car.
Wonderful people, wonderful place!

Citrus smell huh?? Sounds interesting!! Balsam is my favorite smell!! I could bathe in it!!

Trees are cheap up there!! The ones they truck down here go for over $100.00 for a 6-footer!!

Wow, Fresh Air.........Take it all in!

Many rows of trees. Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, Concolar, Blue Spruce and others...

The concolars are very popular in PA. In NJ we didn't have any at all.....
I did get one the first year I lived in PA. They were shaped just beautifully.
However I had on my mind the Fraser, and my mind was kinda set....

These were already freshly cut. They were very beautiful too!

I'm pretty sure this is MY tree.........I looked at so many and took lots of pictures. I'll know better when its up. Good Gosh!

In our heyday this would have been my choice. I had the ceilings and the might then........I have lugged way too big of trees. I'm thinking much smaller now........

I just posted a few more trees for ya' JG.........
You know what? In NJ I usually paid anywhere from $68.00 to up to $100-
Even one through a friend who owned a garden center towards south Jersey cost me a hundred.
PA is great for getting a perfect tree for a fabulous price........
I got two trees today, the tree bag, and my cute free mug that has the Christmas selling shack on it.......for $54.00. That would have been unheard of in NJ.
The Douglas Fir I got for the table in the living room has a great smell.
I rarely get a balsam anymore. Maybe because thats all we ever had as a child, and now I like other kinds for something different.

I always get concolars the needles aren't sharp and they have such a unique smell. They also seem to last better then some of the other types of trees (as far as needles falling off)

We get our tree for the past 4-5 years in Kunkletown. Its $22 for any tree. They cut it down for you, bail it, and load it into your car/truck. Dont remember the name of the place... actually i dont think i ever knew the name of it. lol. i just know they have good service and a great price so i keep going back.

I know the family who runs that tree farm...I went to high school with their daughter (she was a year ahead of me!) Very nice family - they used to run a small grocery store in Lansford for years before buying the farm that is Crystal Springs.

My sister gets her tree there every year, and they are beautiful!

Yes, thats right. In the 1930's the Borger family owned a store, and at that store they sold Christmas Trees. In the 1960's land was bought to farm trees........So this Christmas tree business is a long standing family affair.
Going during the weekdays is the best time. The weekends are crowded. They are open until dark...so that's good for people heading after work. Although, its dark so early now....
The trees are well worth their price. After living in NJ most of my life and getting some out of shape trees for double and triple the amount. This is a joy.
