I just drove around Public Square last night en route to my forensic accounting class at King's, and I was floored by how beautiful the square looked with all of the decorated trees along with the Victorian-era street lights. The city is truly making a comeback, and it's great to see. Mayor Leighton has inarguably done more to improve Wilkes-Barre in a couple of short years than ex-Mayor McGroarty did during his entire tenure. Now only if we could get the media to stop portraying Wilkes-Barre as being nothing more than a bleak cess pool (thanks to the blight they call Sherman Hills), we'll be in business!

The worst thing with this electric heat is that it is under all of the picture windows.........
So, there is no putting a tree at the place they would look best. That heat would dry it out in a few days and it would be a fire hazzard.........
But, I found two safe places..........so hi ho, hi ho, its off to work I go...~~~~~~~~
( Now JG, don't be singing that all night )

It's probably because they're more inclined to stay outside putting up lights longer. I know over here, we were like "forget lighting the garage..it's too damned cold!" lol

It was actually relatively warm today (it hit 40 at my house!), and with a pair of light gloves, a coat, and my ear-muffs I had no problem spending quite some time outside going up and down stepladders, walking backwards towards the street trying to "frame" where I wanted to put things with my hands, etc. Methinks you Philly chicks aren't too keen on winter! LOL!

P.S. I agree with your status. Let it snow next Tuesday night so I can get out of my forensic accounting final!!!
