Biking along the Lehigh Gorge before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. Gorgeous!

Is Bill's in North Scranton still open? I haven't been there in over 20 years.
I was surprised to see the access area right before Moosic Lake not posted. The tunnel is a hop skip and jump from there. Can't remember the road number, we just called it Marshwood Road.

There is a fairly new mountain bike area up there too. Lots of cars on the weekends. I heard the trails are not for beginners though.

There used to be an entrance next to the Holiday Inn on Tigue St and one on Rt 307, just before becoming the I81 junction. I've been up there many a time and have seen wild turkeys and deer.

The trails in the mountain bike area are supposed to be hard but I have yet to find out....I lived at Moosic Lakes until 1992 and my folks just sold the house about 5 years ago.....I have covered every inch of that mountain from Salem rd to 380 and back.....The road is 247 and the access roads from 247 to the tunnel are water company and private...

They were issuing tickets to quad riders the one day we were up there....Trespassing.

The mountain bike area is the section of the mountain that my mother and her friends in the group C.A.R.E and some others fought over in fed court....The business park was supposed to built on the mountain and they fought it with the Sierra Club and won, the Nature Conservancy purchased the land to protect it for future use.

The trails in that area I'm sure are cool but its the trails that are just out and around it that rock........

I love, love, going out in the motor boat. But, ya' won't get me out there NOW!
Nothing like the Coves of the lake for swimming. Quiet, peaceful, trees sky high.......green and wonderful.
Jumping off the boat, deep into the water.......Such peacefulness can't be found just anywhere!

Years ago we did the swimming/diving/jumping at the Gorge in Nay Aug Park. Yes, I'm one of the guilty ones who never got caught or injured.
