Default Better place to live?? Pike or Monroe

My husband and I are looking for a home in northeast PA. We are looking in Pike County (close to Milford/Dingmans Ferry) and are also thinking about looking in Monroe County. We're from New York and both work in NJ, so commuting is a factor. We are looking to buy something that we can live in for 5 to 6 years, but then sell...Resale value is important too. Wayne county is where we want to end up in a few years time. We love it there. What are the better areas to move into? Which school system is better? Any advice is really appreciated!

First of all, IMHO, the schools are better in Pike County. The taxes are less too. I like Milford. It has a small town feel that I like. You are close to DF and you can shop there. It is safe there too. Just my 2 cents.

I like pike county. I live in the border of wayne and pike in the newfoundland. A nice mixture of everything. I also know that my school system Wallenpaupack is one of the best in the state. I really enjoy it here !
