The Real Bedford Falls (Throop: home, vacation, place)

Well it is about time for my favorite movie of all time "Its a Wonderful Life". I guess I consider myself THE biggest fan of IAWL and could tell embarrasing stories how events and lines from the movie have been woven into my own life story but I digress:

There is speculation that the town of Senneca Falls in upstate NY was the model for Bedford Falls in the film. There is an IAWL festival there every Christmas time. Here is the list of events for this year's festival

Tonight the woman who played Zuzu will be signing autographs. Has anyone ever been to the festival?

I think my family will take a trip to SF over the Christmas Holiday when I get back to Throop this vacation.

We have a community in Raleigh NC based on Bedford Falls. The streets are named after the streets in Bedford. It gives that home town feeling. Here is the website.

Nepa-x-pat thanks for the post and the link. I also am a huge fan of IAWL. I looked at some of the pics on the website, it looks like a great place to be at Christmastime! I think I may have to carve out some time to head north one year to check it out! Thanks and Merry Christmas!
