'Tis the Season to Extend an Olive Branch
This thread is intended for John From Scranton, weluvpa, NJMike, and whomever else regularly spars with me on this forum. Considering Christmas is under two weeks away, the Holiday spirit has possessed me to extend an olive branch to make amends for whatever I've done to antagonize you all (especially John From Scranton, as I still don't know why I get under your skin so much). My thread "What Would YOU Do to Improve Scranton" took a lot of thought and effort on my behalf, and instead of respecting that by posting your OWN ideas you all steered that thread right into oblivion with personal attacks and jabs, as you always do. Why? There's no shortage of Scranton-bashers on this forum, yet when someone attempts to elicit IDEAS on how to help the city you all balk. Why? I can GUARANTEE that if I started a thread "Doherty Blows" you'd all be giddy with delight, even though that thread would be quite repetitive to many other threads already in existence in which the man is lambasted. I, ScranBarre, am NOT a fan of the mayor, but just because the mayor leaves a bit to be desired does NOT mean that you necessarily HAVE to spite the city at-large as a result.
Could you all just let me know just WHAT it was that I did to make you so miserable? Weluvpa needs no explanation, as we've sparred ever since day one. However, John From Scranton, YOU try picking fights with me around every corner, and then when I defend myself you back-pedal at maximum speed and make me out to sound like a "bully." You're a "baiter," pure and simple, and I really don't appreciate the fact that you lure me into an argument and then cry wolf when you're getting the worse end of it. NJMike, what was your motive for jumping in with the immaturity in that thread at my expense? Also, why exactly did you send me that rather upsetting DM the other day?
Are there any GOOD people left in Scranton, or are they all a bunch of sour-pusses? If you're all not going to explain yourselves to me as to why you've been trying to bait me into arguments lately (save for weluvpa), then consider this olive branch broken.

I know I'm a hypocrite for "bating" people into a thread to chastise them for "baiting" me, but this HAD to be done! I hope coartist88 and Yac just leave this thread alone for a little while we duke it out! Apparently a few members have underlying beefs with me, and I'm NOT going to permit them to intentionally steer every thread I start off-topic merely because they think it's "funny" for them to do so or because they're trying to get back at me for some "offense" I committed against them without even being aware of doing so. I know that weluvpa and I are never going to get along on here, but John From Scranton just recently joined our forum and started picking fights with me left and right. Why? You don't see him doing that with anyone else on here.

Agree to disagree… I so happen disagree with some of your posts. That’s all I’m not picking on you. Or as you like to put it “Calling you out” And so what if I just joined up not to long ago?? Who cares??
BTW.. Who is calling who out here??  You’re the one that posted a whole topic, on how poor Paul, think’s everyone is picking on him...  {{{Can’t stand the heat stay out of the kitchen!!}}}
FYI, Per the TOS this thread should be moved to ‘other topic’s, "Community Chat” etc.

"Can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen?" When did I ever ask to be invited into your proverbial kitchen? You've jibbed and jabbed at me quite frequently since joining, and then when I defend myself I'm the "bad guy?" I don't think so. If you're going to play with fire, then you're most definitely going to get burned. If you don't want to be arguing with me in each and every thread, then STOP INTENTIONALLY DRAGGING ME INTO ARGUMENTS! That "What Would YOU Do to Improve Scranton" thread was a shining example of this. Weluvpa, in all of his infinite wisdom, demanded that the thread be closed in his very first reply because it wasn't a topic that interested him and was reiterated too many times prior (even though he was being a hypocrite in that sense as HE was the one who started the "Scranton Sucks: Part II" thread, did he not?) I'm sure I could have started "My Top Ten Reasons Why Mayor Doherty Sucks," and you'd all be jumping around with glee. When he was done with his reply you and NJMike both chimed in with unprovoked name-calling and jabbing at my expense. It's impossible to have an intelligent debate about ANYTHING Scranton-related on this forum anymore because so many of you are incapable of separating Mayor Doherty from the city at-large. Hell, I wish I so popular and "cool" that I had this many guys talking about me all the time!
You all hate your mayor. We get it. In 2009 if he's as unpopular as you all CLAIM he is then he should lose in a landslide to Councilwoman Janet Evans, the Messiah. My question is what is going to happen in late-2009 if Doherty loses? What will become of "DohertyDeceit?" What will you all talk about if you can no longer blame the mayor for all of your problems?
