Be careful snow tubing. My father nearly died snow tubing at Sno Mountain (it was still Montage Mountain back then) when his tube hit the earthen embankment at the bottom of the chute so hard that it thrust him headfirst into the ground! He had one hell of a nasty concussion, and that was one CHURCH-related outing I'll never soon forget! LOL!

It was a VERY freak accident. The sunny weather and above-average temperatures melted some of the snow at the base, which refroze later on in the day and made conditions QUITE icy.

I've curled up at a Barnes and Nobles with a good book on occasion.
Just for the pure joy of having all those books around me and being in a comfy chair, by a nice sunny window. ( after tubing sounds good)

Take in a good movie, nothing like a movie to relax you in the wintertime.

Start working on your collections again. I tend to look for old Christmas Post Cards back when there was old phone, old cars, and old airplanes........
Maybe find ones of your town, your Army locations, your old neighborhood.

I can' t bowl either, nor would I ever, ever, hunt.....

Visit antique stores.........Spend time with family.........plan your upcoming summer trip online.

Our winters are becoming shorter and shorter...Just don't think I'll live long enough to see Palm trees in Scranton.
