I don't think anyone is going to target my house to steal things...

I generally use Street View to check out a place before I drive it. I never pay much attention to the houses themselves so much as street sign placement and business landmarks. The only time I will check out houses is when I am going to move there, and I do that in person as well so it's not like it's much different that I see photos of it beforehand.

Street View should be illegal.

you are right. we should require all media to register their cameras, take classes to be able to carry their cameras and then we should tax film and memory cards 500%. we should also limit the amount of photos a camera can take with a push of a button. no more video!

perhaps we can have censors edit all the medias content too....screw the first amendment....

Pittston has the street level "tours" also. I noticed that Scranton does not have birdseye view but Wilkes-Barre does???? W.B.'s downtown looks great.

I was just looking at Street View and realized, Scranton is now completely covered! Downtown, The Hill Section, Green Ridge, more of South Side, and even into Dunmore!

Just noticed my street is on street view now, it wasn't available last month.
But the pictures were from last summer, so it must take a while to get them uploaded.

Well that's quite bizarre. They now have street view available for all of Dupont and a good chunk of Pittston Township, but our subdivision, which is adjacent to Highway 315, is the ONLY area still not covered. Did the car forget about us?!

Also, the Highway 315 pics are very old. Pella Windows is still in business (the building is now an abandoned eyesore), and the old Vullo trucking garages are still standing (they were torn down long ago to make way for part of the long-stalled Pittston Crossings project). A potential home buyer hoping to scope out the neighborhood via the Internet first before doing a drive-by of a home for sale would be strongly misled by the current images posted.

Street View should be illegal.

Can you please explain your logic on this? Because someone saw a picture of my home on the internet they are going to steal my stuff? Not because they saw it in real life but online? Come on now...
