Default NEPA's constantly changing weather forecast

So...we ge all wroked up today for a snow storm tomorrow and now they have pulled it out from under us. I'm OK with it...We'll get snow eventually! Kids in North Pocono have used up 5 of their 6 built in snow days already. Yes...this time I got it right..it is 5, I checked with the school today. The weather seems to be harder and harder to predict here lately, and they always have a way of not admitting to their very wrong weather forecasts.

Seriously. I really wish they would not make such claims about these supposed storms until they are sure. Last week, my husband altered his work week because we were told we'd get "heavy snow" so he came home early. I signed up for the Luzerne County text message alerts for weather advisories, and I was texted at least 5 times with warnings of "heavy snow accumulation." We ended up with 1/4 inch of ice, and no snow at all. I think I'm in the wrong line of work. I think I'll go be a meteorologist....throw darts at a map, slap random storm warnings up, and call it a day.

Picture us watching a hurricane...it's coming this way, it wobbles & then it's not, it wobbles again & then it is, wobbles yet again & then it's not, then it's only a Cat 1, then it's a Cat 4....

Enough to turn your hair grey!!!

Well, Summering has snow right now.........its so pretty.
Then there is ice coming in the wee hours. Problem with that is it will be like last years storm at this exact time. The rock hard ice prevented the plow from working......thus we were stuck up here on the mountain for three days.
Now I am more prepared. I DO have sand and salt this year........Once of that isolation was enough for me. ( and one sled ride in the SUV was enough too)

Winter Weather Advisory issued for region

The National Weather Service in Binghamton, N.Y., has issued a winter weather advisory for Northeastern Pennsylvania from 7 p.m. Tuesday through 1 p.m. Wednesday.

On the web

Snow is expected to begin falling between 5 and 8 p.m., and changing to sleet and freezing rain overnight before changing to rain Wednesday morning. Total snow accumulations of one to four inches are expected, especially in the higher elevations, with one-tenth of an inch of glaze, the NWS reported.
A second winter storm is expected to move across the region Thursday night into Friday morning.

It's snowing out now! Also, rumors about a possible white Christmas...I sure hope it's true.

I just got in the door. The roads are atrocious in Greater Pittston right now (or at least at my elevation). I can't believe schools haven't started to delay for the morning yet. I have to be at the Wyoming Valley Mall for around 6:30 AM tomorrow to hitch the JoJo's Bus to NYC; let's hope I get there in one piece!
