Geesh. I bet the freak storm we had at Halloween will prove to be worse.

Easy for me to say....I don't have to drive in it up there.

Be careful, ya'll.
Hey there Rockky.........I hope the Love of your life has the snow blower ready........
This is piling up fast ,my way anyhow. In less then two hours there is almost enough to plow. Hubby will plow early as if the ice comes then we get very stuck up here. So soon he will be going out. Looks like this will be a two timer.......Ah.........two times going out to plow. Next time would be more toward the evening.
Maybe..........just maybe..........the weatherman was finally right this time.
But, we do want a White Christmas, and so this is great.
I might have to get ready for sledders........They might travel here tomorrow. I don't want them coming in this right now, its like a blizzard by me......
Look out everyone..........
I wonder how Jungle George is doing on his trip.......
He should be just about to New Hope by now...hummmmmm

My grandmother just passed away about an hour ago after a long battle with cancer, and my parents just made it home to Pittston from the nursing home in Kingston where she was a resident. They said they didn't see a single snow plow during the entire trek, and that the roads were absolutely atrocious. You two might just be better off staying put until the crews WAKE UP and get out on the roads to start plowing and salting. From my hilltop home we can hear the fire whistles blaring from what sounds to be both Dupont and Hughestown, likely summoning the volunteer fire fighters to respond to car accidents. Then again snow is much preferable to the sleet/ice slop that is coming later.

In any event I wish nothing but the best for you both.

I was just thinking about George myself....boy is he getting the real NEPA winter experience!! I just got home.....had to actually go into WB because my vacuum cleaner died ....(with 6 cats, I can't go more than 2 days without vacuuming, so while others are out getting bread, milk and eggs, I was out buying a Dyson) I just made it home and unfortunately looks like I'm gonna need a tow for my car, which "landed" on my lawn and is now stuck there. LOL! Going out now to brave the snow (we have at least 6 inches here) and try to work this darn snowblower. Wish me luck!!

Thank you both. I'm doing well because I braced myself for the worst many months ago when she first failed, so for now my father and I are serving as the "rocks" to try to help keep my mother strong as well. My sister sounded well-composed when I spoke to her about a half-hour on her cell phone as well. One of the worst things about living in this area is the fact that there seems to be an unusually high concentration of cancer. This will be both of my grandmothers now taken by this awful malady, and it will strengthen my resolve to become part of the Relay for Life next year. My prayers are with you, Ashley, for the continued rejuvenation of your better half, and to you as well, Enya, as you try to figure out how to get home in this wintry mess.

Paul, Sorry about your grandma. Grandmothers are so precious to us. The twins join the Relay for Life in Easton and we really have a great experience with that. It is a wonderful cause to join.

We had about 6 inches here also. Hubby plowed once already and I was the deck and walkway shoveler. We'll have to go out again around dinner time, this is coming down fast......
Enya, gosh maybe a neighbor will show you the ropes of how to work it. I hope it has fuel in it.......
We got fuel for the tractor yesterday, otherwise we'd of really be up a creek.
