Parking Spaces After a Snow Storm in NEPA! How do you handle this problem??
When summer is over, the lawn chairs go into storage. In winter, they come back out again.
For the most part, neighbors respect the chairs and cones set out by others, but when they don’t, tempers can flare.
Parking spaces prime territory | News | thetimes-tribune.com - The Times-Tribune
I been seeing more and more lawn chairs around the city as people try to keep all that hard work of cleaning out the snow to themselves. Just the other day I seen 2 cars parked on the street where my neighbor just cleaned. He got mad and put notes on the two cars.. Now they park in his spot even more..
How does everyone else handle this problem??

Its not too much of a problem on my street, because of the alleys behind the houses, most people have some form of off-street parking. Although sometimes we clear a spot in front of the house...its easier to go in the front door with kids, rather than troop through the backyard full of snow...so I will mark the spot with a garbage can when I leave.
I don't blame people for marking their spots after a snow storm...with limited parking available, why should someone clear a spot that they normally park in, only to have someone who did no work to clear that snow swoop in to steal the spot?

Spray water on their door locks and in the jambs. If they're going to steal a spot you worked to create, might as well help them keep it for as long as possible. There's no waiting period on a squirt gun.

I would never park in a spot where someone has worked hard to remove the snow...but I have to say this whole thing of "my spot" annoys me. City streets are available to all, noone has a right over others to park. My neighbors seem to think that my 8 year old is the only child on the block that should have to be in two streets to get to our house.
One dude across the street actually waits for me to leave and comes out and moves his car, the odd thing is he always moves from a place that is closest to his house.

You can only park on one side of the street here during a snow storm. Parking is not at a premium so there is plenty of room on one side. The side you can't park on gets a good cleaning and the other side usually ends pretty good too after everyone moves because then they can usually plow most of the other side once everyone moves their cars.
