yup I dont think it's melted at all over the last few days! I do the opposite as you, we leave for NY today and the closer we get to home, the less snow there is and I'm always amazed!

Our roads in the Back Mountain are treacherous. I attempted in vein this morning to head out for coffee, but didn't make it even 20 feet up my street once I got out of the driveway.....I backed up and pulled right back in because there was no way my car was going anywhere on the ice skating rink that is my street right now. I just saw a plow truck go by with his plow turned up side down scraping the road, so hopefully it will break it up a little bit. I'm concerned about our drive to Jersey this afternoon

I drove home from Binghamton, NY on Christmas Eve at about 10AM ......
I didn't take the turnpike as that elevation is a bit higher up. We stayed on 380.....It was pretty clear of ice. It was raining though and one SUV was off the road in a ditch.
It was my driveway that proved to be an issue. We barely made it up........then it had to be plowed.
Poor UPS guy walked up to deliver for us before we reached home........That was awesome of him really.

No snow here. I drove on top of the mountain though on Tuseday and saw a spectacular sight, ice glazed trees glistening in the bright sun. Later that night, more ice but then it rained and melted. I wish it would have been snow. I wonder if Pa will dodge the bullet again this year while everybody else gets slammed with severe winter weather.
