Question Best place to live!!! Honesdale, hawley or milford?

Any on these towns would be great. I love Pa. and desire to relocate to that area. Thanks.

Reppin' Honesdale. End of discussion, biatches!!! (How does everyone like the new "urban" Paul?!)

All kidding aside Honesdale is NEPA's best kept secret, in my humble opinion. People rant and rave over Milford, but when I visited for my photo tour I didn't see what all of the widespread hype and "fuss" was all about. Hawley is nice too with a location at the gateway to popular Lake Wallenpaupack, but it's also very small. Honesdale would be my pick!

Honesdale...there is a magic here that is rare in general, and I don't think duplicated anywhere in NEPA.

Honesdale is also my choice. i would love to buy one of the old victorian homes ; of course it would have to be redone before buying as we are fixer upered out.(does that even make sense).

I like Milford. The downtown is cool. I like that it's close to Matamoras for other shopping. Honesdale would be second on my list. It has a quaint downtown, but it feels like it's kind of far from everything. Hawley is small to me, too quiet for me.

Honesdale has more to offer, IMHO, than the other two towns. More shopping, entertainment, etc. Hawley's cute though.

Milford has a lot of transplants, there are a lot of yuppie types living there. It is an expensive area, but if you have kids they would have to go to ding del which can be a rough school district.
Hawley is ok there is a mix of different people there, some of the neighborhoods are a bit down trodden. You have lots of stores and also a lot of fun things to do, because it is a tourist town. Wallenpaupack school district, which has seen better days educationally speaking.
Honesdale is mostly local hardworking honest folk. Plenty of shops, small town feel. A lot of the people there are very back woods. (no offense intended) Personally I wouldn't want to live in a town, I would look for a neighborhood that is a few miles out of town.

I'll put my two cents in and say Honesdale too. I lived there briefly and I should have stayed there, it's so much better than Scranton. But this is not a Scranton bashing thread, but I have to say Honesdale is small and charming and yet has everything you need right there without having to drive miles away.
