Default Montage looking good

My wife and I have come to like the occasional jaunt out to Montage mountain. We enjoy many of the stores there and the scenery including watching the skiers come down the mountain like ants on toothpicks.

Today we decided to see a movie at Cinemark, beautiful cinema and we enjoyed the movie. A serious family flick named "Marley and Me", it was a bit sad at the end and my wife cried while I consoled her for feeling the moment. We enjoyed it nonetheless. Off to the Christmas Tree store where we found some bargains and then to Panera Bread. We enjoyed our sandwiches there and with a last glance at the ants on toothpicks we headed back down the mountain.

It will continue to be a destination for us on occasion. My only regret is that we didn't patronize the 14 movie complex in Wilkes Barre but to tell the truth, we had free tickets to Cinemark

Hope you all had a great New Years and I am off to watch the Dog Whisperer to get some hints.

I love going to Montage, especially in the nice weather. They have nice large sidewalks to accomodate our double stroller, and great music playing outside. I just walk my boys from one end to the other a few times and enjoy the scenery. And on the rare occasion I get to go alone there are a few stores I really like there.

I read the book, Marley and Me, and for that reason cannot go to see the movie, because I know I will be a wreck at the end, because I was one just reading the book! lol I heard it's really good though.

Next time you're near Montage, you should check out a restaurant there called Marvelous Mugs. I don't believe it's a chain....they have deep fried pickles as one of their appetizers (sooo good). It's not IN the shoppes at Montage, but about 1/4 mile away if that, up the hill.

Marvellous Muggs is quite possibly the worst restaurant in all of NEPA.

Marvelous Muggs is not a chain restaurant.

Many customers are misled by the unusually strong branding everywhere.

I worked there for a time.

It really isn't "bad;" it's just nothing spectacular. So for that reason, I wouldn't really recommend it. The menu is huge and mostly uninspired. However, the Old World Pasta is a quite satisfying (and large) plain-jane spaghetti and meatballs dish. The Rasta Pasta is very good; it's basically a vodka-less tomato and cream sauce with shrimp and chicken. Try the Ultimate Cajun Club. It's a club sandwich with blackened chicken breast and other good stuff. The Pepper-Crusted Tuna (entree; not the salad) is possibly my favorite. Muggs also does a burger pretty much as well as the next restaurant. And they generally have at least one or two spectacular items on the desert tray.

A forewarning, however. The servers prepare your side salads by using their bare, unwashed hands. These are hands that have scraped dirty dishes, bussed dirty tables, and been in contact with all sorts of other germs. It's really quite gross. When I made a salad for myself, I would open a new bag of salad mix.
