Default Trees being pulled down for development and other reasons Clarks Summit.

I know the storms have killed many many trees and they have to get pulled down, but I have noticed lately many people bringing down good trees - especially were new developments are going in like Country Club Road past Metlife - it seems the forest was pulled down to put in new homes and I do not see them replacing them at all - I have seen people with chain saws on abandoned lots cutting into trees and putting them in their trucks - grant it some them are already down. A neighbor of mine tore down the forest behind me and told me it was just the dead trees he was knocking down - it is like a war zone now he has piles and piles of trees stacked up behind me - sadly because this was an area were deer hung out. It was not just dead trees he went after he went in with a bulldozer and knocked everything down even landing these trees on the adjacent lot and knocking huge trees down over there.

I think property is worth more with nice trees around it - does Clarks Summit and the Abingtons not have any kind of tree preservation in place or any incentive to keep trees up. I mentioned before Chincilla someone cut into the mountain and clared it for what I dont know.

What is going on or is electricity so high that people are cutting into the forest to get wood.

One of the things that make Pennsylvania so beautiful are the trees and lakes and all seem to be going away very rapidly.

Clearing land to build homes has been going on for 100's of years. We are ALL living on land that was once a forest !! What really annoys me is city folks who buy land in the country and then sell the stonewalls that are historic to this area !!!! I live in rural Lake Winola and it makes me sick to see all these beautiful stonewalls being hauled away, for the almighty dollar !!
