COMING SOON! I am recovering from two weeks of being "under the weather" and hope to take the short drive to
Centralia and neighboring Shamokin/Mt. Carmel for some post-holiday shots. I discovered this photo in my archives,
depicting the desolation felt when traveling through Centralia. Snow is expected tomorrow which will make the trek
interesting, to say the least! (This scene was once a bustling "Downtown!")

I really want to go down there. Some of my friends have made the trip and described it as really creepy there.

Default It is stark in Centralia!

...and a winter coat only emphasizes that! Walking the closed highway is the spooky part!
The latest forecast is putting a damper on our plans to go there tomorrow. TOM CLARK!!! ewwwww....

And Matt, yes you are an inspiration. But I don't think you've seen my acrylic work. I studied with an inspirational
Japanese Instructor. That is where I learned how fluorescent colors are organic and natural. As "natural" as ochres
and umbers! Let me see if I can find a few samples....

This is a small portion of a painting from the mid-nineties.

A sample of a more recent work. Most paintings are now 3' x 4'...
I used to do work eight feet in height. I recently purchased a quantity
of canvases that are much smaller.

Default Walking throughout the day.....

I woke up and noticed more light than usual, an indicator that is is SNOWING!!
I really want to go to Centralia, but am doing my best to wait until tomorrow! In the meantime,
the dogs want to go for a walk.......

We walked a two-block radius and had to cut it short. Rather than push the new snow off the sidewalks,
some people tossed salt into it, burning the dogs feet. Grrrrrrrrrr... One residence had their ornaments on display.
A nice post-holiday touch!
