My son is looking to volunteer in a spanish speaking country over spring break. We found one program called Orphanage Outreach in the Dominican Republic. Does anyone know of any other organizations? His school(college) has a program but it's for Habitat for Humanity in the southern part of the US-he would really like to go a country where he can use his Spanish. Thanks in advance for your help.

Why not Texas or the Southwest US? It will be safer and spanish is the dominant language.

i know some students that volunteer to the dominican republic from FIU--they love it and get some a warm welcome from the people--no safety issues that are not ones you should do anywhere you travel
