Summering, that was nearly 12 years ago. Our lives have changed a great deal, but we stay in touch.

I expect to be on line down there. I'll be checkin' in from time to time. I made a quick post from a bar in Sophers Hole, Tortola last year. I don't want to miss anything!

I will be thinking about ashley and wishing her and her husband the very best.

Oh...and you're right about the Commish keeping his choice a secret. What you guys are all jokin' about has been done. Yep! Those same folks from the all alone story.

I always took first dates to places I wanted to eat, that way if its a crappy date or just some annoying chick, you still got a meal you really liked.

As far as conversational tones, my rule of thumb is the bigger the wine list, the quieter the restaurant. On the other hand, be weary of a quiet restaurant on a first date...sometimes its hard to break the ice without a few funny distractions and Pierre serving the best overpriced wine on the menu isnt really going cut it in that circumstance.

Besides, you dont even know what she likes to eat yet. I took my wife to a very nice steakhouse for our first date (and yes it was because I liked the food there) only to later find out that her dream date would have probably been at Friendly's and involved massive overdoses of hot fudge...

Haven't checked the thread but Grico's in Exeter is probably about the most unique place I've taken anyone. They have booths that are curtained off for complete privacy. I mean even the doorway leading into the booth has a curtain...

Be sure to bring a big fat wallet and make reservations in advance. They are not open that often.
