Yes you are right.. I just find it very depressing to walk the down town streets from the mall to where ever I may be off to. People falling out of bar's drunk, fighting in the streets... It's a real mess.. I guess some would like to live right in the heart of it all.

I do believe I seen someone had changed where they live on the top right to “Scranhattan” at one point in time..

It was called a JOKE! I was hoping to get a few chuckles by calling it "Scranhattan" and "Scrantropolis!"

Meh. I just saw the in-depth story on WNEP about this project, and the developer threw around the word "upscale" a bazillion times. Scrap my plans for that!

I understand the downtown movie theatre is absolutely disgusting - dirty, dangerous, smelly. The downtown will never be 'upscale' !! Just my opinion !

That's true about the Marquee. The last time my friends and I went there was at night, and when we got out I kind of stood in front of them trying to look tough to help defend them pro-actively because of the inner-city thug crowd congregating all around the entrance. It was a very freaky experience for sure. You don't see that at the Wilkes-Barre theater. If I were manager of the Marquee I'd hire security to tell those gangsta-trash to SCRAM!

My opinion too. I don't know where this notion started about downtown Scranton becoming "upscale"? I just don't see it ever happening. If it didn't happen by now, it never will.
