I definitely feel for you guys! I was supposed to be living there already, so I can actually say for once I'm ok with still being in VA. Try to stay warm, make sure you go get enough food so you don't have to go out! Do you guys usually have any problems with power going out during things like this?

Great advice from everyone (especially the flagpole) Stay in, stay warm and stay safe !! As far as the pets -- if I even walk toward the door, my kitty cat runs under the bed !!!!!!!!!!!!

nkotb, I'm petty sure that okaydorothy is referring to pulling the wipers out away from the windshield.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm one of those people who messed up their wipers. I thought I had them loose one day last winter. Nope. I didn't burn out the motor, but I had to have them adjusted by someone who really knew what they were doing.
