The Scranton Real Estate market was great for 2008 and 2009 will be even better based on this month. Buy in Scranton now, I am.
Are you sure you're talking about Scranton, Pennsylvania? I thought for a moment you were talking about someplace else.

I'm sure there are lots of investment bankers who are slammed right now, too, but that doesn't make banking a good investment.

Even though we may not see as many listings...the market in Scranton isn't the disaster the national market is.
My friends just bought a home a few months ago, and the prices weren't very low in relation to all the gloom and doom you hear on the national news. In fact, in order to really get what they wanted, they needed to pay a bit more than they expected. Houses that were in great condition and priced fairly went quickly...after searching a few months, they found their home, but like I said, they had to pay a little more than what they had originally budgeted. My friend was really surprised about our market, she and her hubby assumed that they would find a few homes at lower prices, and they could really pick and choose, but it wasn't the case. That is good news for NEPA homeowners! I just hope the national trends start ticking up....

Hmm, people in realty talking up--guess what--realty. The same profession who all tried to convince me a year ago that the market was not headed down....

Don't get me wrong, I want a boom in Scranton, but I take with huge grains of salt what anyone in your profession says, especially when short on specifics.

So, anyway, for anyone who knows-- what's going in at Wyoming and Linden, if that's not super secret?
