I was looking in east stroudsburg, but after staying with a friend in dingmans ferry and commuting to work, we like the dingmans ferry area and are currently looking at the housing market.

I think the area is great. Pike County is by far a nice area. Wayne County is more rural but also equally as nice.

We are going to look into Dingmans Ferry also. The only thing I' m a little nervous about is getting jobs.

suggie, what do you do? The commute to Newburgh and Middletown is fairly easy, I've heard. I am a college advisor, and I'm also applying for positions in Scranton.
I'm going to make it a point to meet ScrantonWilkesBarre.

Suzer
I am an Assistant Director of a daycare but really I do the Director job but don't have the creditials to have the title. I am going to school partime to be a teacher but its going to take me a few years because I work fulltime and have 3 children. My husband is a truck driver and can probably transfer to Sparta, NJ if there is a position open.
ScrantonWilkesBarre is great.
Are you moving into one of the gated communities?

We're not sure whether to buy or build. Getting to know the area has been something of a challenge, given that we're still in Bakersfield. My husband has been out once for his final interview with Dynegy. He just took to the place. We have friends who moved there a couple of years ago from Bakersfield.
Geoffs - how long do you expect to wait for permits?
Suggie - I am going to send you a pm, I have a suggestion for your teaching program. I know that feeling as well - being the underling by title but the leader by practice. Six months after I talked the University I work for in to a promotion, I'm leaving. Next week is my last week, I'm sad to go but excited about the adventure.
