NEPA home show was ok
We were there today and it was ok. I think they could have used vendors that had a variety of things. There were a lot of vendors that had the same things.
It was a day out. I did like the wind chimes they had there and bought one

We went to the one in Palm Beach down here 2 years ago & were disappointed mainly for the same reason!!
If you were in the market for a hot tub, you had literally 40-50 vendors to choose from, yet only 1 or 2 for other types of home improvements!!
Haven't been back since....

One down here too in MB.........I think we got a few pencils out of it.
Just selling doors and windows mainly......insulation.......It was quite boring.
I think the Home Shows should expand and use some imagination or soon no one will attend......

It seems like the home shows are really just for people who want to seriously remodel, or buy a hot tub or Oreck vacuum!
I only usually go if there is a celeb there that I would like to see. About 3 - 4 yrs ago we went b/c Tom Silva from This Old House was there, and I love the show. He was quite animated and made it well worth the time, otherwise it would have been a total snooze.
I did almost buy a 90.00 squirrel proof bird feeder...right

I was at the same show. I really enjoyed Tom Silva but was very disappointed in everything else.
I'm used to going to shows at the Harrisburg Farm Show Arena & thought this would be similar. Nope. We haven't been back since.
FYI the Flower & Garden show is March 12-15 & is worth the trip to the Farm Show complex. The parking is free for the flower show.

Well we did see the wall wizard Brian Santos. I never heard of him before the show.

Wowwee that's great to know. Maybe I can find it cheaper online. Is it the one that spins when you touch it?

I hope you don't live where bears are a problem.
A friend of mine has a whole bunch of birdfeeders but the bears seem to like the expensive ones. She came home one day to find one next to the house pulling down the Ntl Audobon Society birdfeeder off of the house while ignoring the $10 ones all over the yard. All of them were full, but he just wanted that one. She's lost several expensive ones to bears.
It was a very funny story too. When she realized what one he was destroying, she jumped out of the car yelling obsenities & waving her arms. He just looked at her & waddled away, taking the feeder with him. He left parts of it like a trail of breadcrumbs off into the woods.
