I'm not in PA, but in Northern VA. I saw this topic and just want to say the forcasters are "dancing" around the forcast for Monday night and Tues. here too.
If you don't want the snow, we'll take it!

INSIDER UPDATE: Lowe's in Edwardsville, where I work, also just received an emergency shipment of rock salt in at about 8:45 PM this evening. A co-worker and I spent about a half-hour using power equipment to move pallets all over the place as they were being carted off the truck. We usually carry the $8/bag "Blizzard Wizard" stuff, but this is called "Road Runner." I didn't have time to price them as of yet because the manager was trying to kick us out early tonight, so unfortunately I can't give you all a ball park figure of how much these 40-lb. bags cost. I have work again in about twelve hours and will report back tomorrow evening!

There must have been about 16 or 17 pallets of ice melt. Let's see how much is left by the time tomorrow is over!

I hope we gets tons of snow! However, the latest forecasts showing it missing us mostly and just getting some light snow. I'm all for a blizzard though, we haven't had one in some time.

I use to love a blizzard when I was a kid..........I mean a real super, giant, impressive snow storm.
I wouldn't mind having one again. But, I'd be sure to park my car at the bottom of the mountain and have lots of supplies......
Right now it would have to be an April blizzard for me to experience it. That is not out of the question I'm sure.

I remember in 1995 when I moved into PA.......It snowed everyday. Everyday I had to go out and use the snow blower, snow shovel, or regular shovel. At first it was fun.....but.....as the months went on it was quite tiresome day after day.
That also happened one year in NJ ( or was it two big years) until I had no place to put the snow, and the township driver drove down to tell me NOT in the road.
The thing was, I wasn't putting it into the road........I knew that would cause me trouble.
So I was making piles about 10 feet tall, and as I'd toss it up there, some would blow onto the road............Whatchagonnado?
As we speak the feral cats back home are getting a food delivery by my girls.....
Oh for the love of our four legged friends.........
I remember that year. I used to live in Lake Hopatcong, NJ and while the winters weren't as bad as NEPA, they were pretty close. I didn't like highschool to I loved it when it was a snow day, but the snow was so bad that year I actually WANTED to go back to school. In fact, things were so bad they had to extend the year by about a week! That was the most extreme winter I have yet to live through, and this isn't anything like it, but it could be the second worst (has a ways to go but it's on track for it).

The snow we have been getting has just been bothersome. If it's gonna snow then I want to see a blizzard too. Everybody stays home! I just don't want any roofs to cave in, eek! I think they said last night we may just get 3 to 4 inches of the white stuff. We will see...
