I just wanted to let our forum Debbie Downers know that Scranton trails Rochester, NY by only one vote to be crowned the most "up-and-coming" Rust Belt city in a popular poll thread on the "City vs. City" sub-forum of the General U.S. forum. This is out of 24 cities listed as options for voting. That's not too shabby, in my humble opinion, and it's evidence that NOT everyone thinks our city is "dying."

Here's the link to that thread for your perusal (and VOTING!)

Mid-sized Rust Belt RUMBLE!!!!!! (vote for most up-and-coming)

I went and I read the thread that you are speaking of and I did not see anyone really saying anything about Scranton. I think that your excitement for Scranton is quite refreshing, however I will reserve my opinion on what this poll says until more than 27 people have voted on it.

Thank you for the link and I will be watching to see what people have to say.

I might have to give Allentown/Bethlehem the nod, but since we can choose multiple I also voted for Scranton and a couple others. .
