Default Dunmore, peckville, dickson city, info?!?!

can anyone give me some details/information on DUNMORE and PECKVILLE and DICKSON CITY?

those are possible towns my family is moving to, oh and possibly OLYPHANT.

any information on the towns would be grealty appreciated, such as how are the schools? is the area family-friendly, any supermarkets near by? how close are the shopping areas, gas stations. how far from taylor? the stauffer industrial park?

Thank you so much for all your help. I greatly appreciate it, especially hearing the "inside scoop" from people who know the area. my uncle lives in peckville, but i want to hear more info from others.

I was searching threads for information on these cities but it's hard because there is no easy search tool on the site. if there is, please tell me where it is!

happy valentine's day [almost]!

Hi, Peckville is a nice community, and I am only familiar with one cemetery though. Peckville has about 5-6 grocery stores within about a 5 - 10 min (in Peckville, Dickson City and Archbald) drive. There are also a few "plazas" around with some shopping, but you need to head to Dickson City (5 mins away) to the closest mall. There is a nice library in Peckville, and there is also a walking path along the Lackawanna river which is fun to walk/bike.
I live in the mid valley area and we really are happy with our decision to move here, I hope you and your family enjoy it too!

Peckville is pretty quiet, and close to everything - interstate access within only a few miles, shopping, dining, etc. Not the jewel of the valley, but still a stable community.
