I was going to go to Coopers but I have changed my mind after these posts...
First, I would not let people on this board deter you from dining at Coopers. I have been there numerous times in the past 30 years and have enjoyed many great meals.
I live close to Erhardts, but have only dined in their restaurant a few times, mostly because although the food was good, we feel that it is too expensive. On the other hand, we have been to numerous soccer, baseball, and cub scout banquets for our kids in their ballroom, and although it is basically just a buffet that includes lots of kid friendly fare, we have enjoyed those meals.
Another restaurant in that general area is the Boathouse, which I prefer to Erhardts. I have also heard good things about Greshams Chophouse, but have not been there yet.
Whatever you decide to do, make sure you call for reservations. And have a great Valentine's Day!

The places I mentioned previously, Rossi's in Archbald and Villa Maria II in West Scranton, both are 2 of the best Italian restaurants in the area and have nice banquet facilities.
