Default What is your favorite AAA team in NEPA and why?

What is your favorite AAA team in the region? I included The Red Barons, because I wanted to also know if people like the new Yankees over the old Red Barons.

I love hockey and the Baby Pens. Everyone should get out to a game if they never saw one. You'll love it, as others on here can attest to.

It's a great night out. Very exciting. Expecially in the dead of winter, when there isn't much to do.

The Penguins rock my socks! A few weeks ago a friend and I splurged on dinner at Lucky's Sporthouse along Schecter Drive followed by a very exciting game against San Antonio. 100% of our fellow restaurant patrons were families attending the game, and even after the game people were AMAZINGLY courteous while leaving the parking lot. When my friend returns from her vacation we're going to enjoy another dinner/game!

We may not agree on Scranton politics, but the Baby Pens we can agree on. I love going to restaurants after the game and seeing people with their jerseys on and talking about the game. Like I mentioned before, I was at that game also and it was an exciting win in overtime. I'll be going again this Wednesday when they take on the Hartford Wolf Pack, the baby Rangers. I'll be divided on this one. My love for the Rangers and WBS Penguins, it will be difficult to root for one. Sometimes leaving the parking lot after the game can be a nightmare, but you're right Paul, it wasn't too bad that night. Wait until the playoffs after a full house, it will be worse, but still a fun night out.

I had a similar situation with baseball when I lived in Harrisburg and the Harrisburg Senators (Expos/Nationals affiliate) played the Reading Phillies. I'm a Phillies fan in Major League Baseball, but was (and still am to a some extent) a fairly avid Senators fan (by minor league baseball standards). After a short period of indecisiveness on my part, my rooting interests became clear - I rooted for my adopted hometown team but was interested in seeing how the Phillies' prospects playing for Reading did. Of course in the majors I still root for the Phillies whenever they play for the Nationals (and I now live in the DC area and work 3 blocks from the ballpark), even though the Nationals have a number of players I saw play in Harrisburg. I do have interest in seeing many of those ex-Senators do well for the Nationals (though not so much when they play the Phillies).
