Bushkill/Middle Smithfield area (East Stroudsburg, Stroudsburg: good credit, how much, houses)

Hello, my family is contemplating a move to NEPA - we see these lovely houses in Bushkill for next to nothing it seems. I am skeptical of course. I have seen some of the older posts about it not being the best area etc. Is this true? Those complaints seem general as well as posted some time back. Lastly we are looking in the Buskill - East Stroudsburg area... would you recommend one over the other? We have a young child that school will be a future issue.

How much are you willing to spend??? The units you are looking at are probably in some older communities & need some work. Do you have good credit??? Down payment money?? how much can you afford??? These are questions that need to be answered & then i can give you some honest answers. Property values hold better closer to Stroudsburg & a future resale is is more likely in the event you don't like it here & need to move back.
