All the homes in Brodheadsville are on at least an acre, some are upwards of two acres. The neighborhoods are quiet, neat, and many have a fine amount of children.
The Pleasant Valley Schools are quite nice, and the sports program is through. Go by there any day and see the action of the sports teams or the marching band practice.
It is a very familly friendly school. They hold craft fairs, trips to the city to benefit the teams, lots of school plays and events with music.
For any area you need to go and spend the time to explore. CD is a good start.......then some time going into the areas is so important.

Considering I have lived in Reeders (close to Tannersville) and Effort, I prefer Effort based on your criteria but it would be a drive in order to get to Sanofi. But worth it if you want quietness, good areas, and the Pleasant Valley Schools are top notch. I have a friend who works at Sanofi since '97 but she lives in Reeders approximately 15-20 minutes from the job. Also, some areas around Rt. 940 heading towards around Pocono Summit aren't too bad. I'd recommend where I live or Brodheadsville, but they're not close if you don't mind driving 30+ minutes. Your biggest concern will be winter conditions cuz in the spring/summer/fall, it's not an issue. Also, keep in mind elevation as you search. Driving up/down a long driveway or road to/from the house in spring/summer/fall may not seem like a big deal but in winter, if you don't have 4 wheel drive, it can be a nail biting experience!! I have experience working 4X4 in weather and have slid into ditches or snowpiles. Just cuz it's 4X4 doesn't mean your untouchable. Just have to be aware of the conditions and make sure you don't jam on the brakes like an idiot (like I did cuz I was caught off guard)!! Hope this helps!! If you would like the help of a realtor....I highly recommend Charlie Carmella of Wilkins & Sons off Park Ave. in Stroudsburg. Very patient man, not pushy, and knowledgeable about the area. He helped me with my home purchase and I couldn't have asked for a better realtor. As I said, very patient and willing to explain every question and detail about the home-buying process. I purchased my home through the VA and he helped with everything I needed to know. Hope this helps and good luck!!

Oh gosh, and it is a nail biting experience WITH all wheel drive. We went down the long driveway with no wheels turning because it was just ice underneath and so no traction was possible.
So yes, because of winters........you shouldn't put yourself in a spot by entertaining a long driveway. Reeders is a wonderful location for this poster........I think some areas of Scotrun too......
I happen to love the PV school system, and its kids........for that reason I'd head to an area where the kids could attend that school. Saylorsburg, has some wonderful homes........
None of the mentioned towns are all that far to work..
Please come this way and see what feels good to you. Everyone has a different liking.......
