My background check is being completed as I speak, after which point I'll be given a FIRM start date (although I've been told my training in Memphis will begin in early-to-mid June).
We're going down the week after Easter to look at housing options in NoVA, preferably something reasonably-priced and within walking distance to my office.

once you get settled in....ask about the 457 plan they offer...it's never too early to plan for the future...I did it when I first started and glad I did...

YEE-HAW! I just got off the phone with a human resources representative from my agency, and I have an official start date in Virginia of June 8, followed shortly thereafter by a two-week training session in Memphis. This is wonderful news!
