Default Chemical spill - Evacuations in Wind Gap

I heard on the radio that they are evacuating homes in the Wind Gap area due to a chemical spill/release? Rt. 33 and 512? area - Anyone know what's going on or what happened???

Looks like it was on 33 and they will send people out and away from it on 512......
This means my sister-in-law and her family will have to be evacuated she is very near there.
Thank goodness it looks like it is under control. Wow, it is a main highway to 78......and it is quite busy anymore. A number of years back it was finally connected to 78.

I have a brother visiting my sister in Scranton..he was heading down this way via 33 but I called him and told him to wait until tomorrow. Those poor people - looks like they will have to be sheltered for at least 24 hrs!

I just found out Mr. Pocono's grandmother was evacuated. She lives at the Walden III Assisted Living place..they have everyone at one of the high schools...

I had heard about it earlier, at the grocery store, but the people I spoke to said it was further south than there..so I wasn't worried at first..but then as the night had been going on, I read and heard that they've also been evacuated.

The report is that it's hydrofluoric acid..

This story made national news. I heard it on the radio reported by ABC News.
