Schiels Market Fight in Wilkes Barre
Does anyone know the full details of this.. why it happened.
They're trying to get that 18 year old kid involunatiry manslaughter for punching that 25 year old man. the 25 year old fell and hit his head and died.
I think thats b.s. your going to give this 18 y/o kid involuntary manslaughter.
the 25 year old was proabably making some "suggestive advances" to this 18 year olds girlfriend and the kid punched him.
retarded that you cant even punch someone anymore without having to worry if they'll slip and die.

Yeah, talk about bad luck. You get in a little tiff with a guy, you punch him once and he dies. They said he may have had a heart attack also during the fight. Now the other guy is facing manslaughter charges. It sucks to be him.

REAL "men" don't feel the need to settle their disputes by beating the living daylights out of one another. For all of the scuffles I've become involved with over the course of my lifetime whether it be a gay basher or even on account of my own short-sightedness for making a sarcastic remark that someone took out of context as being literal I have NEVER been involved in an actual fist-fight. There are always ways to tone down the testosterone a bit and solve your problems diplomatically. I understand that the last presidential administration encouraged the knee-jerk "bomb now or be bombed; ask questions later" mindset that is so prevalent today in America, but that's really no way to go on living. If all else fails a little humor always seems to do the trick to diffuse the situation.

I just don't understand this whole "tough guy" mentality that so many I know have. Are most males in this country THAT insecure about their own masculinity and anatomical deficiencies that they feel they need to "prove themselves" by flexing their muscles, grunting, and rumbling with one another in public?! What kind of woman gets "turned on" by the sight of seeing their boyfriend punching some poor sap in the face simply because he said you had a nice smile or something else innocuous like that? I know from personal experience if MY boyfriend ever became that territorial over me he'd be out the door in a heartbeat! I brought President Bush in as a fine example of what terrible things can happen (i.e. invasion of a nation that had NO credible link to 9/11) when you're a guy and get this urge to "walk tall and stand tough." At least Obama is doing the RESPONSIBLE thing by ending what is becoming a quagmire in Iraq and shifting our focus BACK to Afghanistan to hunt down Osama bin Laden. I have no patience for people who make irrational, stupid, "heat of the moment" decisions and still can NOT admit they were in poor judgment (i.e. President Bush). When that man admits that the 3,000+ brave lives lost in Iraq while we ignored the man who was TRULY responsible for killing around 3,000 innocent lives on our own soil was a mistake, maybe THEN I will have respect for him. REAL men admit their shortcomings; they don't sugar-coat them or live in denial, threatening VIOLENCE if someone gets under their skin enough.

I mean .. Its a respect thing too Paul.. If im in the store.. and some man tells my girlfriend things that I cant write on this forum.. or if he tries to touch her in an inappropriate place/fashion.. i'm not going to diffuse the situation with a little laugther, Poor judgment or not..i'm going to lay him out.
Its not about anatomical differences or masculinity [excuse me if i misspelt that], its the fact that this guy needs to be taught a lesson that you cant touch my girlfriend/wife that way.. you cant talk to her like that.
and i'd like to STRESS... i dont mean a "hey sweetie your looking hot in those pants".. i mean a "hey sweetie what dont you do this this and that to me tonight in my car when you get out of work"
i dont think this has anything to do with bush/obama.. i think that if that is the case.. if this 25 year old dude who died was sexually threatening this 18 year old kids girlfriend or little sister for that matter, he deserved to get knocked out, its sad he died however.
and again maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree, maybe its drug related, thats why im trying to see if anyone had the right details.

Anyone in those shoes is going to jail (or paying hefty civil or criminal penalties) for exercising such brutality. That person has to know, somewhere in the back of his mind, that he can't just punch someone for irking him, no matter how severe the perceived insult. There are few things more basic to civilized society than that.

Why, yes, how ever did you guess. Can we throw something on top of that? Anything will do.

You are probably correct. He was most likely a hot head who reacted and inflicted unnecessary damage. On the other hand, I have been assaulted, (thankfully not raped) am extremely wary and would be willing to inflict damage, to throw the first "punch". It will more likely to be a can of pineapple juice to the forehead or a lip liner to the eye, but I will never again wait and try to analyze the situation. We don't know the players, we don't know what happened, we weren't there.
