I've never heard of one either, but I would have to assume they would have bread that is past the date of sale, dented cans, etc. and sell it all at a highly discounted price. I didn't hear about such a place until they had a patient on the show "House" the other day who died from a bacteriological infection. It was cool though because he got like $180 worth of groceries for $40.

I just tried to lookup a website for the discount grocery in Montdale and its for SALE !!! I'm so dissappointed. The present owners run a great store. Its not your typical dented can, stale bread store. They really had some great buys.

rations from the second 'great' war are edible !!! Anyway, discount groceries are a great place to buy paper products, laundry detergent, dry dog/cat food, cat litter, charcoal and lots of stuff besides outdated, moldy food !!! (smile)
