Ouch, that is boney to be sure, think I will use the sit a top Torrent! Are you getting any of the rain we are. We went from boney to flood stages in the mountains in 24 hours.

I think we will be doing the lower section of the Lehigh on Friday (JT to Bowmantown). You up for a paddle?

Slight change in plans Dan, we are most likely going to paddle the 4 miles from Archbald to Blakely on Friday afternoon. My bro is giving final exams at Muhlenberg and his son has a ball game in the afternoon. So the wacky lacky is our target. Looks to be just two of us. Let me know if you would like a short paddle on Friday around 4 or 5 oclock.

Can do Dan, think I still have your cell # on my phone from last year. I will give you a call. That is a great section to take your time playing with. Hopefully the rain this week will stop it from falling further. I have paddled it at 2.2 feet, not great but you can still do it.

Sorry I missed you Dan. Couldn't see that picture at work, that is a nice trout, did you get that by the plot section?

Ran into Jerry R near his cool deck in Jessup. Nice to have a chance to talk with him again.

All in all the race was a good time. A bit low on water. I noticed that it is higher today! Guess they didn't want to freak out the newbies and held back the water. If only they gave about two more inches, that would have been great.

Got to get around to posting some of the pictures I took, they weren't the best, but trying to pop the skirt to take the pictures below the rapids was a bit of an issue and then catching up with the others in my group was a hassle.

There was a pair of photographers on the river taking shots for sale.

You can see the shots here:

http://riverfest.fototime.com

Our group can be seen in the album labeled something like 500 feet below the start. We are in the second or third to last group of pictures.

Thought I would submit a picture or two from the event.

Some race action and slumbering participants. Again, try it next year, you might just discover the inner paddler in you.
