Its an election year and we will see the same BS that we saw 4 years ago with the downtown projects that pop up before the election and disappear right after it.

Progress around here takes time. A LONG time. However, it does
appear to happen eventually.
Lackawanna Ave bridge project - in process
Joyce's project in the rear of Scanlon's - in process
500 Lackawanna project - nearly complete
Southern Union building - a white elephant, but complete
Connell Building - under steady construction
Parking garages - multiple new ones built in the past few years
Jefferson Pointe - a failed start, but now one building renovated
and leased, the other torn down.
Now, there are a lot of aspects to these projects, and I have heard all of the
detractors. A lot of state, federal, and local tax dollars have been thrown at
some of these developers like they were working at the Grandview. But you
do have to admit, whether or not you like the projects, things are happening.
Are there failures? Sure. But they ain't all dead in the
water, even if they look that way for a couple years.

Thats great. So what.

What did i say that i could possibly have to lighten up about? its ignorant to think they're the same things or, better yet to not have a clue between the two types of construction and to lump them together. I apologize, i really thought my response was fine..

It was a funny....I am very well aware what modular and mobile are. I worked for a company assembling modular homes at the shore in NJ. Giant legos.

Exactly....he's ripping me for supposedly not knowing the difference, I know there's a difference, but what I meant is that both kinds of homes are cheaply built junk.

Ok, im sorry for "ripping you" i honestly didnt see anything wrong with my response...i called you ignorant, thats all. relax. after this post, you've proven your ignorance though without question. Weluvpa worked in the industry, i think even he could/would tell you that they're not all cheapily built. in no way am i saying that mods cant be cheapily built, what i am saying is taht they are much better built than mobiles. I mean, this building for example has double studded walls on the first two floors.
We're setting the second tower monday FYI

Oh, I didn't realize that you're actually doing the assembly work.
Can you release any photos of a finished concept? Blueprint
cover sheet perhaps?
Any word on other Joyce projects would be appreciated as well.

Yes...Doherty has plans for at least one more garage in that section of town. He had talked about one over by Northeast Eye, but I could easily see him trying to put one on Linden in that bombed out area.
