Wait i forgot i miss a good hairstylist, a nice nail salon, a butcher and carvel (GOOD Ice cream even in the dead of winter )

There are Carvel's here in NEPA! I do agree on the hairstylists though! I still travel to NJ to get my hair cut and highlighted  |

Don't miss nothing from NY!! Only reason I go back is to see my parents. Otherwise, I don't miss the place one bit!! Glad I left in '96!!

CORRECTION: What I do miss about NY since I was born in Brooklyn in 1960 is growing up during the 60's & 70's, Coney Island when it was the place to go to in the early 60's/70's, and Nathan's Hot Dog stand in Coney Island. The worse thing they did was create those projects next to the beach. Ruined the whole neighborhood and was the cause for the demise for C.I. Otherwise I don't miss the place!!

Wait a minute...no GYROS in NEPA?...I may have to start re-thinking my planned move from Long Island. As far as the bread, bagels, and pastry...those I'm OK with because I am diabetic and don't eat them anyway (though I love them all). |

If you want a great sugar free pie, peach is my favorite, go to Ritters farm. They make jams, jellies, pies and other items that are sugar free. Of course when you move here. |

There isn't a carvel by me I have no real ice cream places unless you want to drive 30 minutes just to get ice cream.
AS for hairstylist i have been going back to ny just to do my hair |
