Closest you can come...stock your freezer!! That way you won't have to worry about gettin' dressed at 11pm to drive to an ice cream parlor. Helps save you gas at the same time!!

1.) You'll never see mass transit in NEPA because people would rather sit in rush-hour back-ups on I-81 and complain than risk encouraging the "element" from spreading by building a new inter-city light rail line between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre with spurs to Clarks Summit, Dallas, and Mountain Top.

2.) I go to Lyons Barber Shop along Main Street in Avoca and have always loved my experiences there. Ask for Ed or Robin! It's a little old outdated place next-door to a ritzy salon called "Panache," but the original owner's late-20s/early-to-mid-30s children took over the Avoca location as the father opened a new location in Wilkes-Barre.

My age of 22 years is really going to show here -- but....

You cant satisfy your Jersey Girl Fix with just one girl lol.. i know it sounds bad.. but.. if you've ever spent a weekend down the shore - 1 just isnt enough lol you'd know what i mean.

Belmar/ Seaside/ Point Pleasant is Jersey Girl heaven.

and im a dark hair italiana/latina-type of guy myself ... i miss north jersey lol

If it's any consolation I know exactly how you feel. My campus is crowded with jocks from "The Dirty Jerz," and if the women are all as good looking (and yet horribly unattainable) as the guys, then I totally feel your pain man!

There are Carvel stores in Bushkill, Scranton and Wilkes Barre. Carvel cakes, etc. are available in any grocery store in the area. If you are looking for soft ice cream, try Angel's in Newfoundland, Dairy Twist in Hawley, The Shake Place in Mt. Cobb, or several others in Hamlin. None of them stay open all night, but most have later summer hours.

I beleive Kundla's in Hamlin would be the closest butcher.
