I have a question for the relocated new yorkers.
when you moved from long island or other nyc metros what did you leave behind that you miss? aside from friends and family of course.
A few of my long island friends have long lists of things they travel back to ny for, from food to activities. i'm curious to hear some of yours.

What did I miss......
Good Italian bread and the German Bakery......the ocean, even tohugh I wasn't all that thrilled about it when I lived 10 blocks from it.......getting food like pizza and chinese delivered to your door step.
now don't ask what I DON"T miss......The list is VERY... VERY ....VERY ...LONG.....

Of course Italian bread and bagels!! I mostly miss being able to walk to a store. I really dont miss Brooklyn. I have a much better life here even though I am out of work and have less money, lol. I do miss having some things closer. And like ILOVEPA I miss having take-out delivered. But when all is said and done I dont miss it that much and I would never give up living here.

Bread...bagels....italian pastry. That's about it! I don't miss the crowding and congestion and not being able to drive 2 miles without getting stuck in some sort of traffic, and houses being so close together and high taxes and ahhhh...i could go on!

For great Italian food, look up the long list of restaurants in Old Forge.....the trip is only about 45 minutes from the Pocono's.

I miss my spanish food, being able to get anything in the middle of night, from walking distance of your house, a nice local park, more twenty something hangouts, better paying jobs and the ocean. ( i miss the waves) Most of all I miss my family and friends!
