Town or Community Summer Fairs????
Are there any fairs here in the summer anywhere in NEPA? Like when we were kids you went to the county fair with rides, foods, exhibits, etc.

There are a lot of firemen's carnivals that usually have rides, food and entertainment. Several counties have fairs. The BIG fair in PA is the Bloomsburg Fair, but that's not until the end of September/ beginning of October.

In Brodheadsville, the annual fair is at the End of August.

There are several next week/weekend. Jessup Fire Department has their picnic next week in conjunction with the St.Ubaldo Festival. Also, there is the Sweet Valley Fair in Luzerne County. I believe that might run Fri,Sat,Mon. Not sure if it starts on Thursday.

Check the paper magazine called "Focus"...they usually list fairs, craft shows, and other similar events around the NEPA area.

thanks so much. i was looking for the local fireman fairs, town fairs and county fairs. i will check out that magazine too. any suggestions on great things to do in the summer with kids too is appreciated, like parks, playgrounds, lakes, zoos, etc
