A one-uh....and a two-uh....

I grew up on Motown. My folks even said I shoulda been black!! (and yes...I have rhythm...)

From what I've deduced, rap music was born out of anger & frustration. From the lyrics I've heard & read lately, the majority of rap is getting even angrier & more frustrated....

LOL!! I had ALL their albums!!! I learned to sing starting around 6 y/o by "singing along" with them, The Temptations, The Miracles, Stevie Wonder, Martha & her voluptuous Vandellas, etc...

Well, I just spent a good part of my morning reading this thread. I have two problems with booming steros playing ANY TYPE OF MUSIC: Both are for safety: how can one hear sirens or car horns with music at that level? Remember a car horn is a safety device used to warn other drivers ( not a I am pissed and beeping the heck out of my horn ) and sirens are used so drivers can pull over to let first repsonders pass.

BTW...ON MILITARY BASES THEY HAVE BEEN FINING PEOPLE WITH LOUD STEROS FOR YEARS...any music that could be heard outside of the car was considered to be in violation, a ticket was given and repeat violators were no longer allowed to operate a vehicle on post. Respect and safety all rolled into one. I do not agree with taking a persons car for it though!

Like art appreciation, so comes music and the culture of each type of music including rap is something interesting to learn every day. Some do not like heavy metal, but the history behinds all these type of music and how they got started are very interesting. And, for anyone who loves a Martin guitar, right in Nazareth, you can take the tour.

I never said I did not go off topic, I did, but was happy to see the thread back on topic.

That's all it is George, angry rhymes. I don't know what these guys are so angry about. They are making millions fooling the public into buying something that they think is music. You can't fool me into thinking that rap is real music, never going to happen.

The only threads that get closed have the words "real estate" in them, I think we are ok for awhile
