Please. Conservatives have NOTHING to say after the last 8 years. But I digress...
Values and morals mean something to me. Worrying about how someone dresses, what kind of music they listen to or anything else that doesn't effect me does not fall under my moral or value radar.
It is about free speech. I don't like a lot things I see or hear, but I support the right of others to say or do those things.
Why is this such a hard concept to understand?

Free speach my Arse. It is DISTURBING THE PEACE.There are laws on the books in every town against it. Where are you from Mars?
You can not just go out in public and rattle off all the curse words you know either.
Try it some day. you know what you will be arrested for?.....DISTURBING THE PEACE!
Yea, its a law put in place because basicly some people are annoying other people.
It's the law weather you like it or not.
I'm stil laughing at the idiotic remark about not having railroads in a residential neighborhoods.
Hey,Lets move all the railroads away from the houses..LOL
Even though the railroads were probably here a lot longer than most of the houses.

And yes, there are more important things to worry about in life. Feeding my kids, doing well at my job, making sure my marriage is strong and loving, the economy, the war, being an active positive role model in the community, etc and so on and so forth.
So yes, I'd say there is a whole laundry list of more important issues than whether the guy down the street wants to drive around with a bass thumping or if he wants to walk around with baggy pants on.

Again, please refer to the case in Pittston that I noted before. I can curse in public. Do it every day. I will not be and have not ever been arrested.
Disturbing the peace is above and beyond normal, everyday noise - which is exactly what these car stereos are - normal, everyday noise.
Why is it idiotic not to want railroads in residential neighborhoods? There are good reasons not to have them - safety and noise issues come to mind.
I am not proposing to actually move them (please point where I said that). I am saying they are just as much of a nuisance as these car stereos are. The railroad woke my oldest up every night for months. That's the way life is. I didn't try to get an ordinance against them.
I really wish people would READ what is written.

It is disturbing the peace. How would my neighbors like it if I ran out on the street with a microphone and speaker and just starting shouting profanity? The cops would be called and I would be warned to stop. If I persisted, I would be arrested. Free speech is not always what it seems.

I agree. But facts are facts and local authorities have made their decision. Profanity in public does not fall under "disturbing the peace". Neither does loud music. If it did, then most bars in the area would be guilty of "disturbing the peace".

Arguing with some people is like:
I'm done with this argument, it seems some people don't have morals and there is no way to force them.....

I'm done too. Let some people think what they want. I don't spend my whole day obsessing on loud car stereos. It's just when one passes by, I get annoyed for that moment and wonder what kind of low life is driving in it to listen to that garbage so loud.

I get annoyed too!!! That's what I'm saying. It's just as annoying for me! But being annoying isn't and should not be against the law.
I'm sure I annoy people and I'm sure you do too. It's part of life.
