House rental in the Larksville area (Plymouth, Edwardsville: crime, houses, neighborhood)

Hi again everyone. I'm about a month away from my trip out to WB to find a place to live, so I am starting to set up appointments at some places I want to check out. I found a listing for a house for rent in the Larksville/Plymouth Junction area and realized that I had no idea where that was I have read a ton of posts, but I can't remember anyone mentioning this area. The house seems pretty nice from the pictures, but what I'm mainly concerned about is the neighborhood. Is this a friendly area? Any major crime problems? Can a single female walk out to get the mail after dark? You know, all the normal stuff Thanks in advance!

Plymouth and Larksville are mostly laid back quiet towns. Alot of elderly peole live there. Plymouth does make the news once in a while for shootings or violence, but it almost always has to do with a troubled bar or two. It's never random. I don't think you'll have any problems there unless you are looking for trouble. Good Luck!

Plymouth is not all that laid back any more. Ive spent alot of time in Plymouth in the past(between school and football practice) and have come in contact with some of the residents. There are definately parts of Plymouth that I wouldn't want to live in. However, it does have nicer parts. As far as the West Side goes, plymouth is probobly the least nice of all the towns besides Edwardsville. You said it's along the junction with larksville. If it's on Shawnee ave, the houses are pretty nice. Just be aware, it is a pretty busy road. Especially during the school year before and after school. It can get pretty congested for a back road. My sister lives in Plymouth with her family. It's a nice, quiet area. I also work with a girl who lives in Plymouth and she loves it there. Good luck!
