Great community college, great neighborhood. My son is attending this Fall as well. Living nearby, i never realized the wonderful reputation that this school has (I attended King's). My son plans on doing his initial 2 yrs here & then tranferring the Bloomsburg to get his degree in secondary education. Almost every local school, state schools, & PSU will transfer the credits. The parking lot & campus is elevated from the main downtown portion. It is well lit, & hard to access per petty thieves & vandals. They would have better opportunities downtown. Noting to fret over per your daughter. Good luck!!

I'm 22 years old -- many of the people going there are younger then me -- far from "last chance community college" -- not saying that you personally feel that way S/B -- just after a brief convo with someone...... .......its a bone-headed moniker.

your diploma means the same from LCCC as it does from any of the astronomically priced big schools such as wilkes, kings, or UoS.

i'll take my $98/credit hour thank you very much! (that will be fully re-imbursed by my companys $2500 a year in tuition funds) :-p

Well, not really, since you can only get an associate's degree at LCCC...but it sure is smart to start at LCCC and then transfer to another school, saving a lot of money on your first two years. Personally, I think the private schools around here are a waste of money. Not to say they're bad schools, just overpriced. I was able to get my B.S. at the local Penn State campus for what one year at the U of S would cost, and guess what, a lot of my coworkers went to the U of S, Kings, Wilkes, etc, and they're all bogged down with student loan debt for years, and I don't owe a red cent on my college education.
