Pocono Country Place a Safe and Peaceful Community
Being a homeowner at PCP for the last 10 years, I have seen a dramatic change for the better in my community. I feel safer in my community than if were to live outside. For example, I have never had any incidents of break-ins like my 2 friends Roy and Billie who live outside in Saylorsburg and Tannersville had. By the time the state troopers arrived at their places, the theives were long gone. You don't see that in the papers! Roy tells me that he gets on an average of 2 break-ins a year and doesn't bother telling anybody anymore.

Another thread resurrected. Was talking to service people from Raymour and Flanigan and they said they hate going in there.

I started vacationing in APCP in 1980's and then moved there in 1994 only to move out of there in 2005. In the beginning I loved it there - they even used to have horses and so much wild life......until Percodani....Lots of houses started to be built on very small lots.....they targeted low income families promising the world so PCP became very crowded with those of us who wanted the American Dream and then realized we could not afford it - so we rented. Big mistake. Some nice folk built their homes and are now stuck there and while they still love it there they realize it has its problems not only with other homeowners, tenants, but with dues. It's too high for one thing. Yes, PCP has changed dramatically, but sometimes outsiders just Hate so no matter if something good goes on and some nice people still live there it will never be acknowledged.

Yes, it is a very large community in Monroe County (near Mount Pocono). A large majority of it's residents are those who have moved here from NYC.
Have you really lived in Wilkes Barre for as long as you say and never heard of this before?

Yes, I've never heard of it. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre. Meyers and Kistler Grad.

I made the mistake of taking a vacation to PCP back in 2005. What a nightmare it was. The house we rented was great, but you could not go to the beach without being harrassed by the local teenagers!
