Beautiful pictures! The park lives up to it's name! Do you have to be a PA resident to use the facilities?
I love lakes too - but I also enjoy the shore. Most people seem to prefer one over the other.

We had a family reunion there a few years ago, it was very nice. They have pavillions you can reserve and a nice swimming beach with a snack bar.

I must say that Promised Land State Park is one of the reasons that we purchased land and built our home in Greentown. No need for costly ammenities when you live 10 minutes from Promised Land!

Lovely pictures! Can't wait to take the family there! What a wonderful way to spend a late spring/summer day. Almost overlooked these gems, our state parks, in my search for swimming areas for my kids.
