Split Rock Wine Festival
Hi all! Anyone going to the Split Rock Wine Festival??? I am going with a friend of mine. I went to their website and it sounds great. I think it will be alot better than the Wine and Chocolate Festival. Anyone been there before?

I went to Split Rock today. I thought that it was expensive to get in at $29. If you buy your ticket online its $20. Its on a very large area. They had alot of wine and other types of vendors. Unfortunately it started raining (thank goodness because we really needed rain ) and there was no place to sit so we had to go into a vendors stand to keep dry (but we were already soaked). Overall we were not too happy. If we go again we will be prepared with chairs and a tent . It was a nice idea though. I just wish there were more seating there. We walked and walked and we were tired but there were not many places to sit. Then we couldnt find the car .
Now the big question is do I think it was worth it??? Absolutely not. For $29 bucks I would of at least got a buzz, not even a smidgen. If it didnt rain I would of liked it but still would of thought it was overpriced.
If anyone goes tomorrow just remember to bring chairs. You can put them down, leave them and walk around then at least you will have a place to go back to and rest, eat or even buy a bottle and drink it.
Any other thoughts on the wine fairs???

That's a shame Roxy.....especially after paying that price.
Maybe we should just go to the liquor store....meet at the North Beach, and drink ourselves silly.

Thanks for the review Roxxy, after reading it we have decided not to go today. $29 is very expensive, and my grandparents are too old to be walking around all that much. I expected there to be plenty of seating for them, but if there's not then no way, I'm not going going!

Yes I agree. If you bring chairs its ok. If I decide to go next year it will be planned out. But to tell you the truth I would rather go to the lake with friends and bring chairs, food and why not a bottle of wine!

If you're looking for little getaway to a wine festival that is in a beautiful area, try the NY Finger Lakes Wines Festival.
