I dont really know what the schools provide. I do know that crestwood highschool will put your daughter in a special ed room that is more populated with people who just prefer making trouble in school than those who actually need to be in those classes.

other than that, I have no idea sorry.

Western Wayne, Wayne Highlands, and Wallenpaupack all have a consortium together and combine all their services! There are also private providers in the area as well

I am going to be starting a job at Children's Behavioral Health Services, Inc., which is at 104 Woodward Hill Rd. in Kingston. I know that they offer alternative classrooms, community support, home-based tutoring, testing, and mental health services for children with developmental disorders and their families.

In terms of schooling, you may want to look into the Graham Academy at 469 Miller St, Luzerne. It is a school experience designed especially to assist children with sensory processing disorders (like Autism) and it is 100% free for families because the "tuition" comes from public education funds.

If you want to tour the classrooms and such during your visit, you may want to call ahead (570)283-0641.

Good luck with your visit!

Thanks,
The Pocono Equestrian Center is concentrating on getting donations and funds at this point. We are also disputing the bill at the current stable. We hope it will be resolved on July 6th in Magistrates office in Moscow.

In the meantime we are looking for a new location to temporarily keep the horses. We will be continuing services in July. There are a few children we are able to work with now but it is limited until this dispute is resolved with the stable our efforts are to continue to put clients with their paperwork and on the list so we can get back to work as soon as the new location is located.

We are also looking at the BIGGER picture of our own property with ALOT of help from others. It is nice that there are very kind people who truly understand and love what we do are stepping up to help. Keep your fingers crossed this happens sooner than later.

GAIT is a great program and there are good people there. We can't say enough good things about them.

Thanks

Default NeuroSensory Center of Eastern PA treats source of autism

Hi.

Welcome to NEPA. You'll find a lot of children here with autism.

One resource that is unique to NE PA is the NeuroSensory Center which treats the source of autism and other neurosensory disorders.
The NeuroSensory Center of Eastern Pennsylvania located in Kingston is a specialty facility designed to diagnose and treat even the most complicated disorders of the nervous system. The Center, one of ten sites around the country, has customized applications and specialized equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of autistic spectrum disorders as well as migraines, dizziness, vertigo, vision abnormalities, headaches, post concussion syndrome, ADD/ADHD/autism spectrum, dyslexia, movement disorders, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, and chronic pain syndromes.

Using the state-of-the-art Sensory View Diagnostic System, the doctors at the NeuroSensory Center are able to identify the cause of the disorder and treat the source.
Sensory ViewTM includes a series of FDA-approved non-invasive tests, which was developed to provide insight into the function of the nervous system. Following testing, the findings are presented in an easy-to-understand graphic analysis. Once the source of the problem is identified, a customized treatment plan is prescribed based on these objective test results. Patients are seen for follow-up testing, at which time the Sensory ViewTM Diagnostics are repeated, progress is noted, and treatment is adapted.

The staff of the NeuroSensory Center of Eastern Pennsylvania includes a medical doctor, a neurodevelopmental optometrist, a neuropsychologist, a registered nurse, diagnostician and therapists. The team approach enables each patient to see the practioners most able to help him or her. In addition to certification as NeuroSensory Specialists, Dr. Jeffrey Becker, OD and Nurse Sheila Becker, RN, are certified in the Defeat Autism Now! Approach.

Parents of children with autism who are patients at the NeuroSensory Center of Eastern Pennsylvania have noted improvements in the following areas: aggression, anxiety, appetite, attention, behavior, cognition, concentration, depression, distractibility, emotionality, eye contact , fine/gross motor skills, focus, hyperactivity, hyperacusis (hearing sensitivity), imbalance, irritability, physical performance, processing difficulties, sleep, and speech.
